Please be aware of the following guidelines from the Weber School District: Notes from Mr. Bradshaw are italicized.

We are limited to gatherings up to 50, including students and staff. We will split up into smaller groups when we have exceeded that number.

1.    School-sponsored groups and teams are only allowed to assemble at the school with a coach or advisor present.

2.     Participants with underlying medical conditions or those deemed “high-risk” should not participate. This includes those with lung disease, moderate to severe asthma, serious heart conditions, and/or those who are immunocompromised or have diabetes or kidney disease.

3.     Before each activity, participants will be screened for the following symptoms:
          a.     A fever of 100.4 or above; (Mr. Bradshaw will have a thermometer at every rehearsal and meeting)
          b.     A cough (new or undiagnosed);
          c.     Trouble breathing or shortness of breath;
          d.     A sore throat;
          e.     A sudden loss of taste or smell; and
          f.     Muscle aches or pains.

4.     Participants who are sick or have any of the symptoms listed above should not participate until they are symptom-free or cleared by a physician.  Participants should immediately report the development of any of these symptoms.

5.     Participants will be required to bring their own water bottles and a daily supply of water/fluid. If water/fluid is provided at the activity, it will be distributed in disposable water bottles. (this is nothing new for marching band, please have a labeled 1/2 gallon water container).

6.     Locker rooms will be closed and participants should transport their clothing and gear to and from home, as well as ensure that clothing is properly laundered in between successive activities. (Students will need to take their supplies home, including instruments, band room access will be extremely limited during the summer).

7.    A limited/designated number of school restrooms will be available for use. Coaches/advisors must monitor the number of students in the restroom. Signs on the doors should indicate the capacity. Restrooms will be thoroughly cleaned on a daily basis.

8.     Social distancing will be practiced when possible, but parents should understand that many group or athletic activities require close proximity or contact between participants. (marching band set ups can easily be 6+ feet apart between students, we will typically have students spaced 7.5 feet apart in every direction when working on visual components and 7.5 - 15 feet apart during playing moments).

9.     There will be no loitering or social gathering before or after practice, scrimmages or games. (you don't have to go home...but you can't stay here)

10.     Parents/guardians and immediate family members of participants are allowed to observe practices, scrimmages and games. We encourage all family members to closely observe posted signage and ensure that all pertinent precautionary guidelines (self-monitoring of symptoms and physical distancing) are followed. Spectators should avoid congregating and limit interactions with other spectators or student participants. Parents should not distribute food or drinks to student participants other than their own.
